November project

Cooper's craft for the month was to disguise Mr. Turkey. With Christmas almost here we thought the perfect disguise was Santa!

FHU homecoming!

Homecoming at FHU is always a fun time. I love getting to see people return to campus that I haven't seen in years. This year I got to spend some time with some of my closest friends while at Freed. Arika and I  both live in Henderson so we get to see each other very often. Our kids are great friends. It's neat! This year Beth, Dede, and Malaika (along with her 3 precious girls) were all 3 able to come in for the day!! We loved getting to hang out for a few hours!! We laughed a lot and enjoyed reliving our college days!

Happy Halloween

This year for Halloween we had two Power Rangers and a Clone Trooper. Chad even got in on the fun and dressed as Magnum PI. He did it to surprise his mom. She LOVES Magnum!!! He looked great. There were several people (mostly younger) who had no idea who the strange looking tall guy was. Magnum PI was a little before their time I guess. Others knew who Magnum was but had no idea it was Chad until he would stand by me. It was pretty funny.

Cooper's painted pumpkin

The Kindergarten kids were asked to decorate pumpkins for the fall festival. The pumpkins were used to decorate the tables for the meal at fall festival. Cooper and I painted his pumpkin to look like one of the ninja turtles. It turned out out great I thought. He was proud of it.

Our college kids

We have a great group of adopted college kids. The boys love every chance they get to spend with them. Our big kids are great to spend time with the boys. They will on occasion send a message and ask if they can stop by. They support the boys by coming to watch them play sports and coming to their birthday parties. They are a great bunch of kids!

My Bee Keepers

During fall break we took a trip to Savannah to spend the day with Papa and Clara Ruth. The boys enjoyed 4-wheeler riding, playing outside, and trying on the beekeeping gear! There's always something fun to do at the farm.

Cooper picked Clara Ruth some wild flowers.

They told him he could pick a flower from the flower bed. He of course chose the biggest one!!

Kindergarten field trip

Cooper's class took their fall field trip to Circle Y Pumkin Patch. I enjoyed getting to be there for his day of fun.

Buddies Jonah, Cooper, and Silas

Mrs. Erica's class

Cooper searched for a while before choosing his perfect pumpkin!

The kids enjoyed petting the animals

Me and my favorite Kindergartner!

We read a million words!

Mrs. Judy's 2nd graders set a goal to read 1 million words by Christmas break. They beat that time by a couple of months! What a great group of readers!!

The twins turn one!!

Maggie and Lydia turned one in September. We made the trip to Birmingham to celebrate their big day with them. Lauren and Cody had everything looking absolutely perfect for the party. Can't believe those sweet girls are one!

They enjoyed the cake so much!!

Lydia took a little longer to dig in.

Maggie wasted no time digging into the homemade cake!

Fall Party!

Chad and I along with the kids were invited to a fall party at a friends house. Kelly Knight and Suzanne McCarver hosted a fun gathering! We ate chili, took a hay ride, roasted marshmallows, and enjoyed visiting with friends. This picture was taken in Suzanne's barn. I thought it was a great picture. We don't get very many pictures of the both of us taken.

Chester County Homecoming

On the same night of the FHU community day was Chester County's football homecoming. The kids got their faces painted by some of the sports players. My friend Leslie and I decided to get our faces painted too. With "Go Eagles" painted in blue we were ready for the game! The kids had a great time watching the game and hanging out with friends. I enjoyed my first high school football game in YEARS!!! It was a lot of fun.

Community Day at FHU

The athletic teams at FHU put on a community day for the kids around town to come be on campus and play games with some of the players. My boys absolutely love this day. Cade won a t-shirt for making all the shots in around the world before the timer went off. He was so excited. The big guys are so nice to kids and really make them feel special!!

Happy 6th birthday Cooper!

Cooper had his first friend party for his 6th birthday! He had quite a crew there to enjoy his big day. They had a blast playing on the jumper. We did a race car theme. I made his cake with two layers....one chocolate and one strawberry just like he wanted. It was big hit!! We are so thankful for this sweet child. He is such a great kid.

Thankful for our college kids Ashlyn, Kenneth, and Emily who were able to make it to his party!

What a crew!!

Got some new books from Rah Rah.

Cooper's first school project!

Cooper's first project of the year was an "All About Me" poster. We worked together and he was very proud of how it turned out. His poster included: pizza- his favorite food, Christmas- his favorite holiday, yellow- his favorite color, he likes school, he likes tigers, his birthday is Aug 28, and he showed a picture of his brothers and family. He did all of the writing for the project by himself!

Soccer!

Boys had a great soccer season!! It was a little challenging having 3 boys in 3 different age groups playing at the same times. We managed though and enjoyed watching them play very much.
