Happy Birthday Cooper!

Yesterday was my sweet Cooper's 2nd birthday. I REALLY can't believe 2 years have passed since he was born. What a blessing he has been to our family these past two years. Today we celebrated his birthday with a small party. When I asked Cooper what kind of cake he wanted for his party he told me a kitty cat cake! For the next week I asked him several more times what kind of cake he wanted and every time he said "kitty cat" so that's what I made him. I know a kitty cat cake isn't the most boyish thing but that's what he wanted so that's what he got. It is his birthday after all. I tried to make it more boyish by making it dark brown and by adding blue and red cupcakes to the mix. He loved his cake and the very messy cupcakes! Thanks to everyone who helped make his 2nd birthday so special.

First soccer game

Today started our soccer season! Cade and his teammates played a great game. The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed watching the boys play. I didn't get to take as many pictures as I wanted but here are a couple from the morning

Happy Anniversary to Me!!

Today is our 10th anniversary!! We actually celebrated it last month but I wanted to wait until our actual anniversary to post about it. Chad took me to see the musical "Wicked"! It was amazing!! We stayed overnight in Memphis and spent time shopping, eating, watching the musical, and just enjoying our time alone. Chad's mom kept the boys so we could go on our little trip. Thank you very much Rah Rah!! Chad also surprised me with an anniversary band..that was totally unexpected!! I am truly blessed to have him in my life!

First day of School

Today is Cade's first day of Kindergarten! I just can't believe the time has come for one of my boys to be in school! I have been a little sad this morning (but have not cried!) but know he will do great and have a great year! He is really looking forward to riding with Chad everyday and going to P.E. and seeing his daddy. He will go every other day until next Friday so I will have a few more days with him at home between now and then. Chance is missing him already and is happy that Cade gets to stay home tomorrow. Here are a couple of pictures of him with his things before we left this morning. He just looks so big (but small at the same time). I'm anxious to see him this afternoon and hear all about his day!

A Day at the Park!

Today was the first Saturday in a while that we haven't had something we've had to do or somewhere we've needed to be. We took off this morning to the park and spent several hours playing, walking along trails, visiting the horses, and just enjoying being together. I always love taking pictures when we go to the park. Here are some of the shots I took today.

I love taking pictures on this bridge! I have lots of pictures of the boys here.

We stopped half way across the bridge to watch the paddle boats for a little while. There was a nice breeze blowing out over the water so we sat and enjoyed that for a little while before heading to walk some trails. We were all hot and sweaty by this point so the breeze felt great!

The boys discovered that they could turn these water faucets on and decided (actually Chad did) that it would be a great way to cool off!! After hours of playing and sweating I was very tempted to put my head under the faucet too but decided against it! We all enjoyed our time at the park very much and look forward to our next trip!

1st day of preschool

Chance started his first day of preschool today! He had a great morning and can't wait to go back. 3 of my Monday kids were at preschool together this morning so I had a very light load. I took the other 3 and we played at the park for a long time before having to pick my preschoolers up. They were all so funny trying to tell me about their mornings. I'm so glad they all had a great time.

We missed her!

Sarah spent most of the summer in Montana. We really missed her and are SO glad she is back. She came this afternoon to play with the boys and take them to Sonic to get slushes!! That's kinda become her thing to do with the boys! They love it! Sarah is always good to bring me back a treat too! She's GREAT!!
