Red Lobster

Chad earned a gift card to Red Lobster for being the ONLY teacher at Adamsville to have perfect attendance this year!! We are so proud of him!! He took us all out for lunch today. We enjoyed way too much food.

My goofy boys!! About to chow down on some Lobster Pizza!!

Cade learns to mow.

Cade is learning to mow this summer. He's been helping mow Rah Rah's yard. He does a pretty good job. It takes some getting used to. With a little more practice he'll have it down and will be able to do it on his own.  We are proud of his willingness to help.

Our first broken bone!

Chance broke his arm on Friday. We took the kids to the sports center to let them ride scooters while we worked out. A few minutes into our workout Chance had an accident on his scooter and broke his arm. He was trying to go around a little boy that we babysit and when he did his scooter hit an uneven place in the sidewalk and he got thrown off. He broke two bones in his forearm. One was cracked and the other was completely broken. The bigger bone was also knocked a little out of line when he broke it.  We decided to go ahead and have the bone realigned before putting on the cast. We felt better knowing it would definitely heal straight. He had to be put to sleep at the hospital for the procedure. He did great and hopefully will be good as new in about 6 weeks. It wasn't at all how we hoped to start our summer break but everything will be okay! Rah Rah took all the kids(even my 3 extras) to her house when it happened and kept them there the whole day. We are so thankful for her!!

He was in a lot of pain while we waited to see the doctor. Chad was showing him funny videos trying to help keep his mind off the pain.

Ready for "surgery"

When Chance came out of recovery he had a few surprise visitors. Ty, Brayden, and Mrs. Leslie stopped by to see him and brought him a case of cream sodas. He was sure happy to see them.

They were the first to sign the cast!!

Mrs. Ashley and the girls came down to see Chance and brought cookies. Ellery colored him a sweet picture and got to sign his cast too.

Mrs. Sasha and Adelae brought some kettle corn by. Adelae put an A on the cast for her name.

The boys stayed with Rah Rah Friday night. They made Chance some sweet cards too and gave him some McDonalds gift cards.

Everyone has been so sweet to Chance through all of this. He has been given cookies, and gift cards, and had SO many people ask about him. He's disappointed about not getting to finish the baseball season and about not getting to swim. Not a fun way to start swimming season! He's doing much better now that it's been a few days. His pain is getting less and less each day and he's doing better with only being able to use one arm.

AR rewards day!

Cade was one of 10 kids who was rewarded with a pizza party because of his AR reading. He read over 3 million words this school year. He had the most in the whole school!! I got to run over and eat pizza but had to leave before the awards were given so I missed out on pictures! Thanks to those who took pictures and shared them!

Awards Days/Report Card day!

Our boys all had a great year! They were given many awards for their hard work. They all had fantastic years. We are so thankful for their awesome teachers and schools.

We picked up report cards yesterday! The year is officially over!! They all had excellent scores! They are going to miss their teachers from this year. Snapped a few pictures before leaving. Didn't get all their teachers but these are a few of the special people who make school so much fun for them!

Market Day in 3rd grade

3rd grade did something new this year. They had a Market Day for the kids! The kids who wanted to do so could come up with something to sell. The kids earned money during the week for good behavior. They set up their booths within their classrooms and could open and close their shop when they wanted. Also going on at the same time was a Lemonade War based on a book they'd been reading. Each class made a recipe of lemonade and the kids tested each one and voted on their favorite. It was a really fun morning for the kids. There were some really great things at the market!!

Chance did things made with balloons! He had flip flops, stress balls, marshmallow shooters and cookies with a balloon on them. He came home with nothing!!! His booth did very well!

Working hard on his sign

Had a surprise visit from Cade. His teacher (Mrs. McManus) brought him over with her when she came to see Daisy!

These kids are making some money!

Cooper goes to Falcon Ridge Farm

The East Chester 1st graders went to Falcon Ridge this week for their last field trip. We were the only school there. That was really nice. We had the place to ourselves. I enjoyed getting to spend the day with his class and many of the parents.
