Krispy Kreme Donuts!

We made one last stop before heading home.....Krispy Kreme Donuts. This was another first for the boys! Actually I think it might have been my first time in a Krispy Kreme shop. The red light was on which means we got to watch the donuts being made! They were so good!! Nothing like a fresh donut just out of the kitchen. That was a great end to our week. 

Last Beach Day

On Friday we got up and drove back to Foley to hit a few shops again. We ate lunch at Lamberts! That was a huge hit with everyone! We ALL caught a roll! We all left stuffed and with enough to food to have a whole other meal. We got down to the beach a little before 2:00 and stayed for a few hours. We left to get dry clothes on before coming back to see the sunset and hunt for crabs one more time. We caught a couple good sized ones. It was so much fun! This beach vacation has been amazing! We all would like to come back again next year. I'm not sure we will but the beach is definitely a happy place for our boys. I'm so glad they love the beach as much as I do! 

Day 4 Fort Morgan

On Thursday we drove down to see the Fort. We spent a couple hours walking around and learning some about the history of Fort Morgan. Afterwards we went to the beach. We got down and discovered the flies were terrible! Chance immediately started getting bit. The flies were everywhere along with jellyfish. The boys all went back to the pool and swam for a couple hours. I stayed on the beach for about an hour until I just couldn't take the flies any longer. Decided the pool would be a great place to spend some time. According to some locals the flies are bad depending on the way the wind blows. We did go back at sunset and watch the sun go down and did a little crab hunting. No flies bothered us then. We caught a few crabs and had fun chasing crabs. Those little guys are really fast!! Even though we couldn't spend any time on the beach during the day we still had a great day. 

Day 3 Fort Morgan

Another beautiful day at the beach. We went down for the morning. We were able to walk pretty far out onto a sandbar in the water. That was neat. The sand castle was added to and finished! We just stayed at the beach for a couple hours and then went to a place called The Track for the afternoon. We all rode go carts, played putt putt, and rode water bumper cars. Cooper got our only hole in one during the golf game.  It was a fun time. We also drove over to Foley to do a little shopping. We ate at Wendy's and went to church in Gulf Shores.
