My boys love anytime they get to go to Papa and Clara Ruth's house! What young boy wouldn't like to spend the day playing in the creek, riding 4-wheelers, painting slate rocks to take home, and eating special foods prepared just for them! I can't think of many who wouldn't like that!! I'm glad we live close enough for them to do this every so often. Now that summer is here we"ll be able to go visit more.

Christmas in Montgomery!
Got to spend a few days down in Montgomery with Chad's grand dad and his wife. The boys LOVE being at Gramp's and Grammy's house!! We all do actually! The weather was pretty nice while we were there so the boys were able to get outside and play. We got to go to the park one evening and see the lights. I of course forgot to take my camera on that outing so I missed on on some neat pictures!

Got to see Cody and Lauren for a little while on Sunday while we were there. After lunch we all opened gifts and had a good time before they had to head back home.

I was so excited to get to spend a little time with my friend Mallory while we were there. She's expecting their 4th baby and it's going to be a boy. She has 3 girls so they are all thrilled that a baby boy is coming!!

Christmas in Savannah
We celebrated Christmas in Savannah last weekend. When we arrived we were greeted outside by Santa and Mrs. Claus!! What a surprise!! We all gathered round for pictures before Santa had to leave....he was getting a little warm and needed to change! It's a lot colder in the north pole!

Copper said, "he's not the real Santa!" Hmmm. I don't know!

We all sang Christmas carols. Cade led us all in one song but I can't remember which one it was!

We all received new Tervis tumblers. Of course Chad got a Duke one! These are supposed to be the best cups ever! You can drink hot or cold drinks in them and they apparently don't sweat at all!! The site has every imaginable (well almost) thing you could possibly want on a cup!

The boys were excited to open their gifts!!

I got a "chocoholic" tumbler but also got this awesome cookbook! I follow her (The Pioneer Woman) blog and love it!! She talks about her life as a homeschooling mom on the ranch (she's from the big city) with her kids, husband (Marlboro Man) and dog! She also cooks a lot and has hilarious stories...and I do mean hilarious!! I'm so excited about my new book! Thank you Amanda!! If you go to her site be sure to read her "Love Story"!

Christmas in Savannah
After bible class this morning we all headed to Savannah to have Christmas with my family. I always enjoy the times when we can all (or most of us anyway) get together for a little while and visit.
It was SO cold today and Cooper has the habit of taking his shoes off pretty much every time we get in the van to go somewhere. As soon as we left our house his shoes went off. He fell asleep so I didn't bother putting them back on until we got to Savannah. When Chad got him out of the van to run inside we looked and his little toes were curled up..I'm sure because it was so cold. Just thought they were sweet little feet.

Chad and the boys got Mario Kart for the Wii with 4 different steering wheels. Cade was super excited about this gift

Cooper hanging out with Sarah

I actually didn't take very many pictures today..very unusual for me...but I did get this picture of my brother Jon with Amanda's (my sister) new scarf wrapped around his head! Silly!

More Fun in Montgomery
On Tuesday we took the kids to Bass Pro Shop to look around and to see Santa. There was a big section for the kids to play with different toys and games that are sold in the store. It was really neat. We also got to see Santa. They took the boys picture and printed us off a free copy immediately. Very Nice! For some reason Cade wanted nothing to do with the Bass Pro Santa so I have a picture of just the other two with him. Oh well! Cooper wasn't too sure about him either but he at least sat in his lap!

Cooper sat there like such a big boy but he really just wanted down!
Chad and Chance shooting turkeys!

That night we went over to one of Mrs. Joyce's (Grammy) daughters house and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. The kids played ball..of course..and had a good time. We enjoyed sitting around the warm fire.

We have very few pictures of just the two of us so I had Rah Rah snap one of us by the fire!

The boys dressed and ready to go to bible study Wednesday night. We got up and left as early as we could on Thursday morning. We really had a great time.

Christmas in Montgomery
Monday morning we got up early to head to Montgomery to visit Gramps and Grammy. We were planning to take Rah Rah's van on the trip but when she went to start it to come pick us up it wouldn't start. The key wouldn't turn. She ended up having to call a tow truck and we transferred everything to our van and headed out only 1 hour after our planned time...not bad considering the van trouble! Her van is fixed and back home with her now and it was covered under warranty so that was GREAT news!

The boys did great on the trip. We arrived at about supper time so we ate a HUGE meal that Grammy fixed and relaxed after the long trip. Tuesday morning before heading out for the days activities the boys had to first go outside and feed the chickens. Cade checked the hen house and found an egg..his lucky day!

Here's Cooper with an egg

Chance enjoyed being outside feeding and chasing the chickens. He never did catch one!!

Cooper loved feeding the chickens and got closer than both the other boys. I think he would have picked one up if they would have let him get close enough. Gramps did end up catching one for the boys to pet.

The boys were happy to be there and looking forward to the next few days. Check back for some more pictures from our trip.

Finally!
Once again I have been trying to upload pictures to my blog for days now with no luck. The couple times I have gotten a picture to go through the coloring was wrong and the whole picture wouldn't show up. I have ni idea what is going on. I think it has something to do with my internet browswer on the Mac. Anyway I finally e-mailed a picture to Chad's laptop that has Internet Explorer on it and immediately a picture uploaded. I guess until things start working right on my MacI'll use Chad's laptop.
We had a busy week this past week. On Thursday we had Cade's first parent-teacher conference. It went great! After meeting with his teacher the boys and I headed on to Savannah to see my sister Amanda and then to see Papa and Clara Ruth. We don't get to go visit as much as we would like but when we do make it over there the boys have a great time. The boys threw rocks in the creek, rode the 4-wheeler, played cards, basketball, etc. Becuase of my uploading issues I'm just going to put this one picture on. I thought it was a great picture down by the creek.

A Great Weekend
This past weekend was a busy one for us. Gramps came in on Thursday to spend a few days. His primary reason for coming was because his daughter (our Rah Rah-aka Chad's mom) was graduating with her Masters!!! She has worked so hard and has FINALLY finished. We are all so proud of her and are really looking forward to her not having to be gone so much for classes! Way to go Rah Rah!!!

Gramps came on Thursday so he would have time to build a new swing set for the boys. Chad's mom has one at her house but he wanted to build them a bigger one that would work as they got older and bigger! He worked so hard on the swing set all weekend! He built a 12 ft swing set for the boys that we can add a 10 ft slide to later. It's really big! Friday night the boys helped out a little. I don't have a picture of the final product yet! I'll post that soon!

After graduation on Saturday Gramps came to the house for a little while to visit with the boys for a few more minutes before he left on Sunday. We are so thankful that he was able to come for a visit!

A visit with Family
Monday we headed to Montgomery (actually Millbrook) for a few days to visit with Chad's granddad and his wife. We had a great time with them. The boys thought having three sleepovers with them was great!! We all played lots of games including air hockey, pool, ping pong, bingo, and some new games the boys got from Gramps and Grammy for Christmas. The boys got to gather chicken eggs each day we were there so that was a neat experience for them. We went to a really neat park one day and got to feed the ducks. We had a very enjoyable trip. We don't get to see them very often so I'm very glad we were able spend time with them and make some memories!!
Cooper loved being held by Gramps. They were big buddies.
