Cade's playing basketball
Cade has been looking forward to being in second grade for quite a while. The reason.....because he finally gets to play basketball on a real team! Chad is coaching his first basketball team and has a great group of boys playing. Cade is really enjoying it and is looking forward to getting back to playing after the holidays. They are a lot of fun to watch.

First Snows of the season
This year we got our first snow the first week of December. That's really early! We were all really excited to see it falling. The boys got out of school so we all enjoyed an unexpected day at home together! Just a day or 2 after this snow the temps were back up to being warm enough to play outside and then what do we get a few days later....another snow even bigger than the first! . The weather is just crazy around here. We will be looking forward to the next snowfall!

This was our second snow which kept all my boys at home again! It was a little thicker than first and so pretty!!

Savannah Thanksgiving
After spending Thanksgiving in Kentucky we came home looking forward to heading to Amanda's house on Saturday like we always do for our Thanksgiving meal with the family. It was wonderful as always with great food and way too many desserts!! I have a hard time not trying them all. Come to think of it I'm pretty sure I did try them all! I'm a little disappointed in myself for not getting many pictures. Oh well. We had a great time with or without pictures!
Wouldn't be Thanksgiving without Chad and Sarah's food picture!
The feast!! Looks awesome doesn't it!! Just imagine this same size table filled with nothing but desserts. Seriously that's how many there were!! That's why I had a hard time choosing so just decided to make a sample plate of it all!
Love these girls!

Kentucky Thanksgiving
Spent Thanksgiving with my family in Kentucky this year. We had a great time and made some good memories. The kids enjoyed seeing and playing with their cousins again. This visit was the first visit in more than 30 years that all 9 biological siblings were together at one time. That was pretty special!
The kids loved being together
These two are quite a bit alike we discovered!
The kids all wanted to sleep in the same room so we made it work. We managed to fit 7 kids in one room. Hard to see Cooper but he's sound asleep on the other side of the bed on the floor.
This is all the cousins but the 4 who couldn't be there. Quite a group!!
All 9 siblings!

Halloween Fun!
Halloween around here has become a week long holiday with all of the different activities that go on. The boys went to 3 different trunk or treats throughout the week and then went trick or treating in the dorms at Freed Hardeman on Halloween night. They loved dressing up on the different nights and seeing many of their friends at the different events. I prefer the trunk or treating over the door to door trick or treating so we try to make a point to go to those. For one we know the people handing out candy which makes me feel better, and the kids get to see and mingle with their friends, and I get to see and mingle with my friends!!! So it's fun for everyone!
This year we had a Mr. Incredible, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, and a Yellow M&M. This picture was taken at the trick or trunk that our congregation put on Tuesday night. We were late so we missed seeing many of our friends but we had a good time and did get to see a few people.
Went to Estes on Thursday night and had a great time playing games and eating and playing more games. Saw Cassidy, Claire and Caleb (who I keep during the week) along with several other friends. I think a good time was had by all who attended this trunk or treat.
We went to Freed Hardemans Trunk or Treat on Sunday (I think it was the first one ever.....not sure though). Our neighbors Addison and Claire joined us for that. I think over 400 people from Henderson went through this one.

Went through the dorms Monday and had a great time. Found an entire group of girls dressed up as M&M,s so of course I had to get Cooper's picture with them. We also saw our good friends Lawson, Jagger, and Rhett so we stopped for a very quick picture!! And then it was off to get more candy!!

I sent snacks to school with the boys on Monday. Found the idea for these cute pumpkins on Pinterest.com. They were very easy to make and I thought turned out really cute. For lunch we had mummies!!

Fall Break
This year during fall break we took an overnight trip to Tupelo with the boys. It was a much needed little get away for us all. We headed over on Tuesday afternoon and spent some time shopping and swimming at the hotel in the indoor pool. That was lots of fun. Wednesday we got up and headed to the Buffalo park and Pumpkin Patch. The weather was a little on the cool side but we enjoyed the day very much.
We left the pumpkin patch with probably the biggest pumpkins I've ever seen at a pumpkin patch. Usually you leave with little bitty pumpkins which are always really cute but this year we left with some great big carving size pumpkins. I mean seriously check out the size of these things

We enjoyed a hay ride around the corn maze.

We got to see and feed lots of animals including the buffalo. Our favorite to feed were the giraffes...especially Tall Boy! He was one tall giraffe. I know all giraffes are tall but he was super tall!! I think they said he was the tallest in captivity.

We had a great time on our trip. I recommend this place to anyone who has never gone.

First Camp Out
Friday night the boys had their first ever camp out. They wanted to invite the neighborhood kids over to roast hotdogs and marshmallows so we did that. The kids had a blast. They played until about 10:00. Then the boys (minus Chance) and Chad stayed the night in a real tent!!! They were pumped...at least the boys were. I on the other hand stayed inside and slept in my warm bed. Chance wasn't up for sleeping in the tent either. He likes his own bed too! It got down in the 40,s but they all lasted until 6 the next morning. I didn't think they would make it that long actually. They are looking forward to the next camp out and I may actually brave the cold and stay in the tent too!
