We have discovered the Percy Jackson series!! Tonight at supper Cade prayed as part of his prayer, "Thank You for Percy Jackson and for the authors who write books that make kids happy." I love that my kids love books. But even more than that, I love to hear their prayers each day.

Basketball
Today ended our basketball season for this year. The boys had a great season. Chad loved coaching both teams again. The boys have improved quite a bit since last year. It's so much fun watching them play alongside many of their friends. They love the game of basketball.
The Duke Blue Devils and their coaches.....Chad and Mr. Scott
Cade's team was the Golden State Warriors. Chad and Mr. Damon coached this team again this year. Mr. Damon and Robby Novak (Kid President) were both absent for our last game.
Papa and Clara Ruth made it to see the boys play their last games. Afterwards we went to Jacks for a late breakfast. The boys went 3-3 today. Great way to end the season!

Ouch!
Cooper got his first school injury last week. He had an accident in P.E. where he collided with two other kids. Cooper face met the other two kids' heads. That was not fun! His lip was busted up pretty good and he knocked one of his front teeth backwards a little. His gums were bruised pretty bad too. Chad was out of school for a weather day so he was able to take him to the dentist. They sent him on to a pediatric specialist in Jackson just to be safe and make sure his teeth were okay. She said we'd just have to keep an eye on it but that he should be fine and not have any damage to that tooth. That was good news! He got to eat soft foods for a few days and should be good to go. We're hoping that tooth will tighten back up and continue to grow in like it should. He was a tough boy.
I just love these 3 boys!
The other night I had my camera out snapping some pictures. I was trying to get a shot of Cooper's first school injury. I did get a picture of it but what I also got was a great picture showing those big brown eyes! I decided to get a shot of the other two boys while I had them close by. I love looking at the differences in these three boys. They obviously have some similarities but also many differences. Even my two blue eyes boys don't have the same shade of blue.
Girls' Night Out
We had a Girls' Night Out Friday night. It was the first one we've had in a long time. We are hoping to start these back and do them each month. We always have a great time when we get together. We ate at Logan's. It was really good. We had 13 girls able to come this month.
Skeet shooting
Chance got to do some skeet shooting yesterday. He went to a friend Bo's birthday party and they all got to shoot guns!! What boy doesn't like to shoot guns?! He did very well. He hit 7 out of 13. I'm not sure I could hit a target if it were standing still. He hit those while they flew through the air!! It was really neat.

Chance's 9th Birthday!
We had a wonderful New Years Day celebrating Chance's birthday. He chose to eat at Long John Silver for lunch. Rah Rah treated us all and it was delicious! We went to see the newest Hobbit movie. It was awesome! We all enjoyed a frosty from Wendy's. We stopped on the way home and saw the end of the FHU Lion's game. I made a angel food cake at his request. We enjoyed that after supper with strawberries and cool whip. He had a wonderful birthday. Hard to believe it's been 9 years since he came into this world. He's a great kid and has brought us much joy. We are truly blessed to have him.
