Cade's playing basketball

Cade has been looking forward to being in second grade for quite a while. The reason.....because he finally gets to play basketball on a real team! Chad is coaching his first basketball team and has a great group of boys playing. Cade is really enjoying it and is looking forward to getting back to playing after the holidays. They are a lot of fun to watch.

Out with Cade!

Last night Cade and I headed out by ourselves to watch the Lady Lions and Lions play ball. We enjoyed the night out with just the two of us because Chad and the other 2 boys wanted to stay home! It was kinda nice getting to take just Cade. With him being in school I rarely get to do things with just him! Both teams won their games (although we only got to watch the first half of the boys game) so that made it an extra great outing!

First NBA game

For Christmas Chad got the whole family tickets to see the Grizzlies play in Memphis. I didn't even know about the tickets until Christmas Day. He's pretty sneaky! They played the Raptors and won! It was very cool and the boys had a great time. This was their first NBA game!

Took pictures outside of the FedEx Forum. Chad had been there before but the boys and I hadn't. It was really neat!



Our seats were pretty good. We were on the very bottom row of the upper deck. The Grizzlies mascot was fun to watch!

Basketball Cub Camp

"Thanks for paying money for me to go to basketball camp!" These were the words spoken by Cade at the end of his week at basketball camp. He absolutely loves basketball (and tennis lately) and had a great time at camp. He enjoyed baseball camp a lot last week but I think basketball makes the top of his list! He even said a prayer of thanksgiving for basketball camp one day before lunch! I'm glad he was able to go. He worked hard the whole week and learned a lot.

Basketball Camp!

Cade spent every morning this week at basketball cub camp! He LOVED it! The coaches did an outstanding job with the boys. I think Cade's coach (Brian, who plays for the LIONS) had the hardest job of all. He had the 5 year olds (and one 4 year old) all week. He was so good with the boys. Chad ended up helping with camp too this week. He had a group of 3rd graders! He enjoyed being there with Cade. We found out today that he and Brian (Cade's coach) share a birthday...which is today!!
