A new school year!

Well summer is over and school has officially begun. Hard to believe that Cooper is 3rd grade and his last year of elementary school. Chance is in 5th and his last year of middle school. Cade is now a 7th graders so he's no longer one of the little people at Junior High. The boys are growing up fast. They all really like their teachers. We have been blessed every year with great ones. This year is no exception. I pray that they will all have a great school year and make a difference in the lives of those around them. They sure are some good boys and I'm so very proud each one of them. 

Newport Aquarium

Our last stop on vacation was the Newport Aquarium. We had a great time. This is a wonderful aquarium with several hand on stations. We were able to touch starfish, sea anemone, crabs, and even sharks!! I think the sharks were the boys most favorite thing. They stayed and touched the sharks for a long time. The water was really cold! We also really enjoyed the underwater scuba diving show and seeing the penguins. If ever in the Cincinatti area I would highly recommend the aquarium! 

Creation Museum

After visiting the Ark we headed on over to the Creation Museum. They were both built by the same people but are in two different locations about 40 minutes apart. I'm not sure the reasoning behind this but I think it probably has something to do with the ark being new and the land needed to build that along with the rest of the things that will be added. The museum is wonderful and has lots of great things to see and information to read. The boys and I rode camels for the first time ever at the museum!! That was fun. 

The ARK!

The ark was an amazing thing to see. I knew that the ark would be big. It's built to the size and dimensions mentioned in the bible. Even knowing that I could not believe just how big this thing was!! We spent a few hours exploring each deck and learning all about the time before, during, and after the flood. It was a very educational trip. I know the rooms in this ark were way fancier than what Noah would have had but it was still really cool to see what things COULD have looked like on the ark. Ken Ham did an amazing job with this. I also liked that everything on there spoke against evolution and spoke for creation and what the bible teaches. I would highly recommend a trip to the ark for everyone! I hope to go back one day when they finish the rest of the plans for it. Some things that will be added in the future are a theater and a 1st century city which will include the Tower of  Babel. The petting zoo outside the ark was also really fun. 

Bengals Stadium!

A couple weeks ago we headed to Florence, KY, which is just outside of Cincinatti, OH, for a little vacation. Our plans included visiting the Creation Museum, the new life size ark, the Aquarium, and going on a tour of the Bengals Stadium. It was a super fun filled few days. The boys thought being on the Bengals field was amazing. I really think they could have stayed out there for hours throwing passes to each other. Unfortunately our tour guide only allowed them about 15 minutes. It was a great 15 minutes!!
