Turkey in disguise

The first graders were given a project where they were to disguise Tom Turkey so that he wouldn't be hunted for Thanksgiving dinner. Rah Rah helped Cade with his project. Cade chose for his turkey to be disguised as a farmer! He did a great job.

My First Grader

Can't believe it's time to start another school year. We enjoyed our summer but it went by so fast! We had a great kindergarten year last year and we are looking forward to his first grade year being just as good. His main concern this morning had nothing to do with his teacher, knowing the kids in his class, what kinds of things he would do in first grade, etc. Nope, all he was concerned about was which days he would get to go to p.e!!! Oh me!! I do hope he enjoys his first grade year inside AND outside of the gym!! I'll be anxious to hear all about his first day of first grade when he gets home. I do know that Thursdays are one of his p.e. days so I'm sure he was happy when he got to school and found that bit of information out!
