Our Snowcation!

It's very rare that it snows/ices enough here in Henderson that we get an entire week out of school but that's the what has happened. We've been known to get a day or 2 a few times but we've been out of school since last Friday! We got the call today that we will be out tomorrow again. We may all have a rough time trying to get up and going come Monday morning. We sure have enough our little snow vacation. We've played Monopoly , UNO, Dominoes, and several other games. We've been outside every day enjoying the snow. We've just had a great week. The temps are supposed to be higher tomorrow and throughout the weekend so I'm sure in a few days all signs of snow and ice will be gone. We are thankful for our time at home. 

 

Jan 12th Blizzard!!

Friday Morning we woke to a winter wonderland! Okay so it wasn't exactly a blizzard but for Henderson it was a big snow!! We ended up with between 3-4 inches! We enjoyed a day out of school! It's now Monday and there is still snow and ice on the roads and our yard is still covered. We are out of school for Martin Luther King Jr. day but I feel confident we wouldn't have gone anyway. The boys have enjoyed their time in the snow. We've not been able to go anywhere due to icy roads. I'm getting a bit of cabin fever and could use some groceries. The temps are supposed to reach in the 40s today so I expect things to clear up quite a bit. Hoping to make a quick trip to the store this afternoon. Tonight however, we are supposed to be getting more snow with the high tomorrow reaching only 17!! Not sure if we'll go to school yet or not. I'm totally ready to stay home one more day!

Happy 12th Birthday Chance!

 Another New Years Day means another year that this sweet boy has been on this earth. Hard to believe it's been 12 years since he came into our lives. He is such a funny kid. He has a great sense of humor and is a great friend to everyone!
