Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

Well baseball season has just finished for the boys.  They all 3 had a great season and were on really good teams with some great kids and coaches!

Cooper playing 3rd base!

Chance had a great season playing circle (pitcher).

Cade enjoyed his first year of kid pitch. He played left field some but spent most of the season playing  3rd base.

As always our college kids were awesome and supported the boys by coming to several games!

Cade's team minus a couple of kids.

Papa and Clara Ruth made it to see all the boys play one night. The boys enjoyed lots of goodies from the concession stand!!

East Chester Fun!

The boys had several really fun days at the end of the school year. A couple of those were Kite Day and Fun Run Day! They had a little wind for Kite Day so it wasn't too bad. We didn't have the best of luck getting kites up but we had a good time trying!

Fun Run Day was a day to get the kids excited and ready for T-CAP week. The kids had a lot of fun running laps! They got sprayed with water while they ran and got to mark their new shirts with the number of laps done! It was a great idea.

Mrs. Wendy's first grade did an awesome job!

Look at those red faces! They enjoyed some healthy snacks after the run.

Spring Break bowling

We had a very relaxing spring break. We didn't go on a trip anywhere. We did some yard work, played outside a lot and went bowling one day! The Hannis family joined us for the afternoon. We had a great time.

We had an awesome Easter weekend in Nashville at Lads to Leaders. The boys were involved in several different areas and did a great job with everything. We enjoyed getting to spend the weekend with a large group from Henderson.

Cade enjoyed doing puppets for the first time. Bonnie and Randell Hendrix were their coaches. They made it fun for the kids.

Celebrating Dr. Seuss!

All week long the boys have celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday by wearing different things to go along with different books and reading lots of Dr. Seuss books!  It's been a fun week. I even got in on the fun a little by dressing as the Cat in the Hat and reading to some Kindergartners. I wasn't at all expecting to do this but when asked I couldn't say no. It was fun and I'm glad I was able to help! On Friday I sent some Dr. Seuss snacks with the boys to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday. I think they went over very well with all the kids!

Happy 9th Birthday Cade

Can't believe my firstborn child turned 9 this week! Where has the time gone? Seems like yesterday we were in the hospital awaiting his arrival. He has been such a blessing to our lives. We are very proud of of the young man he is becoming.

Bookin' it for the library

Last Saturday I ran in the first annual "Bookin' it for the library" 5K run. It was a pretty BUT very chilly morning to run. About 45 runners came out to support the library and help raise money for a future expansion. This was my second race since foot surgery and I was very happy to be a part of it. I placed first overall in females and also in the top 5 overall. I took home a blue ribbon and $50! That was exciting and unexpected!! It was a good morning! Chad and the boys were there to cheer me on. I've got a good support team! :-)
