Back to School Fun!

What better way to start the new school year than a trip to Chuck-E-Cheese!!

A new school year!

It's that time again!! The first day of school is here. Hard to believe I have a 4th grader along with a 2nd grader and Kindergartener. We are so blessed with great teachers this year for our boys. We couldn't be happier with where they were placed.

Cade has Mrs. Melanie Shelton and Mrs. Joyce Fennimore.

Cooper has Mrs. Erica Parten

Chance has Mrs. Judy Yates

My kitchen helpers

Anytime my boys get to help in the kitchen they love it! They tend to get to help a lot around holidays when we are doing school related snacks and things like that. I really need to have them help more during the rest of the year. It's a great learning opportunity and they enjoy it so much! That's something I'll try to do better at!

Summer Book Club

Cade joined the middle school summer book club! With him starting the middle school in the fall he's finally eligible! They read some really good books and had some fun meetings! Overall he enjoyed it and I think plans to do it again next summer!

Cade's friend Samuel did book club too.

Venture River Water Park

We took a little road trip a week or so ago to KY! My friend Leslie had been telling me about this awesome water park in Eddyville, Ky that they had been to before. We decided to plan a trip and go....and that's what we did! It's about a 3 hour trip so we left early enough to get to the park right after it opened at 10. We stayed till it closed at 6 that evening! What a day!! The kids loved being there with Ty. Chad and I enjoyed being with Scott and Leslie. I think we had just as much fun as the boys did!! I'm pretty sure we adults hurt a little more than they did the next day! It was worth it though. We would love to go back again sometime! It was a really neat place.

After nearly 8 hours in the sun and water these boys were worn out!!

The twins!

Lauren sent me some of the newest pictures they had taken recently. Maggie and Lydia are getting so big. They just get cuter and cuter each time I see them. Sure wish we could see these sweet girls more often!

Lydia is in the yellow flowers and Maggie is in pink!

Happy July 4th!

This year for the 4th we decided to pack a picnic and head to Pickwick State Park with the Deffenbaughs. It was a beautiful day and the temps were just right! We got to the park early enough to secure a great spot by the play ground with a great view of the river. It was perfect!! The park had some special birds on display for us to see. Our favorite was the 27 year old bald eagle. He was quite a sight to see. We also got to see and hold a hawk and an owl. It was cool. We stayed to watch the firework show on the river. It was beautiful!

The boys love Ellery! She was attached to Cade for a little while....so sweet!
