Last Day of School

Well the boys have finished their 4th, 6th, and 8th grade years! Hard to believe the school year is already over. Each year seems to go by faster and faster. We checked the boys out a little early today and went and got Jacks milkshakes to celebrate the end of another great school year. We are ready for summer break!

Field Day at CCMS

Cooper had his field day yesterday. We were afraid the weather was going to mess things up but it ended up being the perfect day. I ran the concessions for the day so I wasn't able to see much of Cooper until we closed down after lunch. Running concessions for around 500 students is quite a job! It went great though and I think everyone enjoyed it. I was able to watch the most exciting part to every field day....Tug of War! Coops class won the first round but were taken down pretty easily in the final round. They came up off the ground with smiles on their faces so losing wasn't so bad....ha! It was sure funny to watch.

Awards Day

Tuesday was Awards Day at the Middle School. Cooper was awarded with perfect attendance, all A honor roll for the year, the wisdom award, and the Milky Way award (setting a good example and having quality work that was "out of this world"). He had a great year with Mrs. Bailey and Mrs. Snider. We are so thankful for the wonderful teachers in this county. Cooper is well prepared for 5th grade!

4th grade Wax Museum

The Middle school 4th graders had a Wax Museum on Monday morning.  Each student was assigned a historical figure to write about, create a board about, and dress as if possible. They would stand at their station and talk to people about themselves as they came by and pushed their button. Cooper was Christopher Columbus. He did an excellent job and looked adorable! I loved seeing all of the kids dressed up and telling about their person.

Happy Mother's Day

The guys made Mother's Day a great day. I was treated to supper on Saturday night and then on Sunday they took care of all of the work around the house. They wrote me the sweetest cards and I was even given my very own book about ME written by Chad. It's the neatest thing. I'm very blessed to be the mother of these three boys and the wife of Chad. They definitely made me feel special on Mother's Day and every other day. They are a good bunch!

Student of the Week!

Each week at the Jr. High a new 6th, 7th, and 8th grader is chosen to be the student of the week. They earn a free dress down day and a free snack from the snack cart. Chance was the 6th grader chosen for this week. Enjoy your snack and dress down day!

Watching Ellery play ball

Since the boys don't play baseball anymore we don't spend much time at the ball park. I've missed it! Ellery is playing this year and we've gone to watch her a few times. It's so much fun watching her. This age group (5-6 year olds) gets really excited.
