Happy 16th Birthday Chance

 Today Chance turned 16! He and Cade got home at 7:30 this morning from the youth group lock in. Cooper came on home around 12:30 last night. They came home tired and went straight to bed. We let them sleep till 2:00 but decided that was long enough! We had a birthday to celebrate!! Chance was very happy and surprised by his birthday presents! 

Not sure why the pictures don’t post in the order I load them but they don’t. It’s too much trouble to move them around so they are out of order!

He chose cheesecake for his cake. Great choice!

He got his birthday call from Papa and Clara Ruth. They sent money but always call and sing ‘Happy Birthday’.

Chad made a Teddy Bridgewater jersey for Chance. Made it out of one of his undershirts. 😂 Chance’s  reaction was priceless!! He loved it! 

He got a car!! 

 

New Years Eve

 The boys headed to the church building for a youth group lock in. Before they left we got in one last game of Farkle before the year ends. It’s been a new favorite this Christmas break.Chad and I stayed home and watched some Blacklist and then the movie ‘Greater’. It was nice just relaxing at home and ringing in the new year in my pajamas drinking hot tea! 

Merry Christmas

 It’s been the best Christmas at home. Last night we went to visit Papa and Clara Ruth. The boys opened presents from them and we got to visit for a little while. Afterwards we went to Rah Rah’s house for our usual Christmas Eve meal and gift exchange. We had a great time! We came home and opened stockings like we usually do. The boys exchanged gifts with each other. 

This morning I got up and cooked a big brunch meal. We woke the boys up at 10:00 so we could eat. Afterwards we headed upstairs to see what Santa brought. The boys are all teenagers but Christmas morning is still full of excitement. We have been very blessed. We spent the day playing with new toys (Nintendo Switch), watching sports, and even enjoying outside time with a glow up football and soccer ball. It was 74* today so it was great weather to be outside. Didn’t feel like Christmas outside but it sure felt like Christmas inside 🎄. We had a great day! 

Gingerbread House

We made it a family effort this year and created one gingerbread house together! We all added our own personal little touches. When we finished we tore it down and sampled it. Store-bought gingerbread houses are not the best tasting but we did enjoy working on it together. 

 

KY Thanksgiving

We were glad to get to make the trip to Kentucky this year for Thanksgiving. We were not able to go last year due to Covid. It was great seeing all of our family there. 

Before coming home we made a stop at the salvage grocery store there. We love that place! When we got home the boys sorted through everything. 

 

 

Baby Elsie

Paden and Sarah welcomed Elsie a month ago! She is absolutely precious! We enjoyed sweet snuggles. Chance was at a friend event and missed meeting his newest little cousin. He’ll make up for the missed snuggles later.
