Snow Week!

A week ago we were all anticipating a winter storm. Well Sunday night the snow started and didn’t stop until late Monday. We ended up with somewhere between 5-7 inches of snow. Along with the snow came bitter temps which are still with us. We’ve enjoyed a week out of school The roads are still icy so we’re not sure about school on Monday. Either way, we’ve enjoyed this time at home. We are very thankful to have kept power! 

 

Happy 18th birthday!

Hard to believe this guy turned 18 on New Years Day!! Sure doesn’t feel like it’s been 18 years. We love ringing in each new year by celebrating Chance! He’s finishing up his senior year taking a couple dual online classes. He doesn’t have anymore classes at the highschool. He’s just a few short months away from graduation. So hard to believe. We are incredibly proud of the young man he is. Happy Birthday Chance! 

I love the picture of him on the phone. Papa and Clara Ruth call and sing happy birthday on every birthday! ❤️

 

Football ⚽️

Another missed post! Several weeks back, Cade and Chance took a spur the moment trip to Nashville to watch USA play soccer! It was a great trip for them to take together. 

And again…. I’m going to try to keep up with my post so I don’t have to do three months worth of posting on January 1 next year.! 🙄

 

I almost forgot!!! The Chicago trip!

Chad and Chance took a father-son trip to Chicago! They had the best time! They got to go watch the Chicago Bulls play and ate at Michael Jordan‘s restaurant. They visited the aquarium and just had an absolute blast! I’m so glad they were able to take this trip.! 

My goal for 2024 is to do a better job of blogging things on time!! Wish me luck!! 

 

Christmas!

Christmas looks a little different now that the boys are older but it’s still so much fun watching them and continuing family traditions. They’re not up at the crack of dawn anymore... which I’m okay with 😁! We woke them up around 10 this year! They were totally fine with eating brunch first so we did! And after brunch, we had it on upstairs for gifts! Of course, I did make them stop on the steps for the yearly picture on the steps before rounding the corner for gifts 😂. We had a wonderful Christmas and feel truly blessed to be able to provide for the boys.. Cade got a new phone, Chance  got a disc golf basket with lots of discs, Coop got some new shoes and discs as well. They got other things too but those are some of the main items.
