While I was in Arizona, the guys were all in Atlanta on a different mission trip with Xi Chi. They had a great week and I got frequent updates on all the great things they were accomplishing. They knocked more than 100 doors, had Bible studies, did a VBS for the church there, and made lots of connection with the people in that area. I know they worked hard and I was told it was a wonderful and successful week. I’m proud of the work the guys did.

Spring Break in Arizona
This year Spring Break took me on a mission trip with 16 students in Xi Chi and two other chaperones. We had the best week in Kayenta, AZ staying on a Navajo reservation and serving the Navajo people there. A few ways our group served was by doing yard work for different members, teaching bible classes, handing out care packages at the market, playing with the Navajo children, and just getting to know the people there. We learned a lot about their culture and the ways of the Navajo. We had a great week! We ended the week by visiting Zion National Park. That part of the country is absolutely gorgeous. Driving hours through the deserts and having mountains surround you on all sides makes you realize just how small you are in this great big world. I was blessed to be a part of this trip.

March Madness
When you teach and it’s time for March Madness….you bring a little bit of the madness to school with you! My class spent the day doing all things basketball. It was a great end to the week and a great way to go in to Spring Break.
Read Across America Week
One thing I love about having the boys close by is them being able to come to my classroom for different things. Cade and Chance (and several friends) both came and read to my class for Read Across America week. The students loved having all of the visitors in to read. They especially love seeing my boys.
Goodwill Prom
Xi Chi held their Goodwill prom a couple weeks back. This is a hilarious event where they go shop at Goodwill and put together a ridiculous outfit and then go hang out and eat and just have fun. I think these kids nailed it!! It’s a shame they don’t have any fun. Cade had to referee that night so he didn’t get to go. Chance and gang looked great!
I’m the midst of soccer season!
I love watching my boys play all the things. With only one left in highschool the days of watching them is winding down. This post is dedicated to my favorite soccer player this year!!

Chad and Coop headed to Memphis last Saturday with the youth group to watch the OKC game. Cooper left the game a happy boy! They had a fun time.
