a single flower
A while back the boys and I planted a mini garden with sunflowers, carrots, and tomatoes. The tomatoes never grew, the carrots didn't do so well, but a few of the sunflower plants actually grew. Last week we went out and spotted the first flower. It was the only flower to bloom and up to this point is still the only one that has bloomed. It is very small and I was thinking they would be much bigger. Cade was thrilled to see the first flower bloom that he planted. Maybe we'll have better luck next year with the rest of it!

Another trip to the park
The boys and I headed to the park after nap time to play for a while. It was hot but we still had a good time. We had hoped to feed the geese but we weren't able to do that because there were signs up today saying NOT to feed them. We obeyed and just watched them for a while. We decided against feeding the fish too.
dirty and lovin it!!
look at that dirty foot!!

Family Reunion (preview)
Author: Kimberly Rinehart
A Family Reunion
is a time to remember,
a time to laugh,
a time to celebrate...
a time to share old stories
and make new memories.
A time to see each other
in the faces all around us
and find reflections of ourselves
in hearts both young and old.
A reunion is a coming together
that strengthens the bond of family
and reminds us of the gift
of belonging.
A chance to share our history.
A reason to celebrate our past.
A time to welcome our future...
as a family.
Cooper enjoyed his first family reunion VERY much!!

Family Reunion
Today we had a family reunion and got to see some family members that we very seldom see (we actually see them once a year at the reunion). It was a nice day. We ate some very good food and enjoyed each others company for a few hours! The boys enjoyed their time eating and playing with their cousins.

1st soccer practice

Tonight I missed Cade's first soccer practice because I was at a good friends "mommy shower"! She's expecting her 3rd boy at the end of August. Tonight as we were getting ready for bed Cade told me that I needed to come to his next game (he meant practice). He actually said, "mom, you gotta come to my next game so you can see my stuff!!!" Stuff, as in his AMAZING soccer skills-haha! I told him while trying not to laugh that I would definitely be at his next practice so I could see his stuff! According to Chad (who is the assistant coach) Cade had a blast out on the field. He would kick the ball into the net and throw his hands in the air yelling "GOAL". What was so funny was that no one was even blocking the goal!! I'm really looking forward to watching Cade and the other 4 boys on his team play soccer this season!! It should be lots of fun to watch!!
