We have presents under the tree...

but just a few! Cade wanted to help wrap presents so I told him he could help me wrap a few before bed. He did a good job cutting the paper for me and sticking the tape on. Chance even showed up and wanted to help too. He applied a couple pieces of tape! They helped wrap the presents for the kids I keep. They were very happy to finally have some presents under the tree.

Playing outside again

We have not been able to play outside the past couple of weeks because it's either been too wet or too cold. I don't mind the bigger kids being out when it's a little cold but I don't like taking the babies out in it which means we ALL have to stay in. Today the high was 57 so after rest time we took advantage of the warmer temp and headed outside for a while. The kids really needed the time outdoors. I enjoyed the fresh air as well. Tomorrow the high is 60 but it's supposed to be raining which means another day indoors. I'm thankful for the chance to get outside today. The kids (at least the 4 bigger ones) had fun taking turns riding and pulling each other in the wagon. They would slowly pull the wagon up the driveway and then take off running down the driveway which slopes just enough to make the wagon go fast..at least to these kids it was fast!!

Tim Conway

Tonight I was able to attend the 44th Annual Advisory Board Benefit Dinner at Freed Hardeman. I was able to attend as a guest of my dad who happens to serve on the advisory board. We enjoyed a great dinner, entertainment by "Music City Swing" ,and got to listen to Tim Conway speak. This event raised over 1 million dollars for student scholarships. Wow!! It was nice evening.

I've been tagged...

and asked to go to my fourth picture folder and find the 4th picture in that folder and post it. Being that my computer is fairly new all of the pictures on it are fairly recent. This is the picture I found. Now I'm supposed to write 4 things about this picture. 1. This is Cooper on his first July 4th
2. He was just over 10 months old
3. I took this picture for his first year scrapbook
4. He's a big healthy boy!!!

Now I'm supposed to tag (I think it's 4) people to do this same thing. I'm tagging Stephanie, my sister Amanda, Beth, and Allison! Let's see what you come up with! If someone already tagged you I'm sorry. I was trying to pick different people but can't remember who all my other friends tagged!

Christmas is in the air!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Feast (as Cade would say) with family and friends. We all ate too much and did nothing but lay around playing games and watching football all day! I didn't feel all that great yesterday but still enjoyed the company of others and laying around. I'm feeling much better today and am ready to have another Feast tomorrow. We will head to my sister Amanda's house tomorrow for more family, food and fun!! We look forward to seeing and visiting with everyone there.

With Thanksgiving (at least the actual day) behind us we were ready to put up our Christmas decorations. Cade and Chance were SO excited about putting the tree up. We turned on some Christmas music and went to work. I'm pretty sure the tree went up faster this year than any other year. The boys were so much help. They brought me the branches and I put them on and spread out them out. They tried putting them on but it was a little tough so they just brought the branches to me. Cade was head of the branch sorting. I would tell him what letter and color I needed and he would make sure Chance had the right branches. They showed some great teamwork. They did a great job putting on the ornaments as well. Chad helped some with this part. He and Cooper for the most part sat and watched. Cooper REALLY wanted to get ahold of the lights! Cooper did bring me a few branches although they weren't the ones I needed at the time :)! That's okay! He was sweet and wanting to help like his big brothers.
such big helpers.
and it's done!!

I also put up a few outside decorations and a few inside things. I didn't put up a lot of extra stuff inside because of my little people (mainly Cooper and a little girl I keep who is almost 1) I have a feeling they are going to have a hard time staying away from the tree. I didn't want to add more stuff for them to pull off and break. Most of the extra stuff inside is stuffed!! Hopefully no one will get hurt when these things are pulled off!!

The boys tree in their room. They also have lights hanging from the ceiling. They love that! We hope to make some ornaments to add to this tree. The few (that survived the year)on there are some that Cade made at preschool last year and just some cheap plastic balls!

Christmas Cards!

Yesterday we took the boys and took some pictures hoping to get some good ones for Christmas cards. I am happy to say that we DID get some good pictures and that I have ordered Christmas cards already!! Yay! These are a couple of my favorite pictures. I am not using these on my cards because Chad prefers "real" color!! He's not into all of the color editing that I like to do.
