Gramps is here!!
Gramps (the boys great granddad) is here for a few days to visit! Cade had a game (actually 2 games) tonight so Gramps got to see him play. I am so glad we've had a few days of good weather so the boys could actually play some ball. We've had so much rain here lately and it looks like we will be getting some more soon. Gramps worked some today on adding to the boys swing set at Rah Rah's (Chad's mom) house. We are excited about that and can't wait to see it tomorrow. He is adding a section for more swings that will be sturdy as the boys get bigger. He loves to work with wood and really wanted to do this for the boys. I'll try to post a picture of that in a day or two.

My Little Nutcrackers!!
A little while back a neighbor of ours gave us a bag of Pecans. I put them in the pantry wondering if I would ever get around to cracking them open and retrieving the actual nuts. Today it hit me that maybe the boys could help me. I thought they might enjoy getting to use a hammer (supervised of course) and breaking nuts. I was right!! They loved it and even Cooper wanted in on the action. What is it about boys and hitting things!! I'm sure there is a trick to breaking open pecans without destroying the nut inside but we went through an entire bag and I never figured the trick out!! Most of the pecans Chance cracked open were smashed so much we couldn't get anything out...but he had fun and did get a few good pieces! Cade got the hang of it and did a very good job. Cooper just enjoyed holding the hammer like the big boys. By the time we finished we had a very large mess and a small container of pecans. I'm not even sure we have enough for a pie but these pecans WILL be going into a pie anyway! It takes along time to get enough nuts to put in a pie. I've never made a pecan pie so I'll be looking for a good recipe. After all the work it takes to get the nuts the pie better be GOOD!! If you have a good recipe send it my way!

Theme-my favorite face photo

I had a hard time choosing a favorite face photo. I really like this picture of Cade taken last summer while swimming.
"I am submitting this photo into the www.iheartfaces.com Blurb Book photo contest. I am granting I ♥ Faces permission to use my photo in a printed version of a book for commercial use and possibly advertising of a photo book on both the Blurb and I ♥ Faces web sites."
Popsicles and Pogo Sticks!

Cade got this pogo stick for Christmas and has not been able to do it without help until today. He hasn't actually been on it in about a month so I was surprised he was able to do it. He wasn't able to stay up long but he was so happy to be able to do it all by himself!

Fun with Foam!
Tonight as I fixed supper Chad stayed in the bathroom with the boys as they got baths. When I walked in at one point this was what I saw. They were having lots of fun with the foam. They love playing in the tub together but soon the tub is not going to be able to hold all three of them at once. They are getting too big! I'll let them enjoy it while they still can.
