Racing So They Can Ride 10K

This morning Caileigh and I ran a 10K in Jackson. It was ROUGH but we did it!! I finished first place in my age group with a time of 57:07. Not bad for my first 10K race in years. It was not an easy course though. I actually regretted signing up for the 10K when all the 5K runners turned and headed to the finish line and I had to keep going and run the whole course AGAIN!! Ha!! I did it though and finished it still running. When it was over I felt better and was glad I did it!Cooper made me a sign and held it up as I passed by. Sweet Boy.

Coffee Party

Tuesday night a few of my coffee drinking buddies (Caileigh, Sasha, and Ashley) got together to watch a movie and drink coffee! It was a fun and relaxing evening. We've all been doing low carb for a while so we brought some low carbs treats to snack on and our different sugar free syrups! YUM!!!! There were lots of delicious syrups to try. I think my favorite (that I didn't bring) was the Smores flavor. I'll be buying myself some of that very soon. We had cinnamon chips made from low carbs tortilla shells and chocolate pecan bark made with all low carb ingredients. They were delicious! Of course we had pork rinds to munch on as well.

Soccer Saturday

Yesterday was another full morning of ball. Cade reffed two early games and then all 3 boys played at 10:30. I was only able to stay for the first 15 minutes because Chance had a basketball game at 11. He did score a goal before he left but his team ended up losing 3-2. I was able to snap a few pictures before rushing off to the next event. I didn't get to see any of Cade's game but from the sounds of it he played awesome and had the best game ever!! He scored 4 goals and assisted in 3 others. His team won 9-7. One of the team dads always takes great pictures so I know I'll get great pictures even when I can't be there. These of Cade are some that he took. Cade left from soccer to lay in a basketball too. Both boys won their basketball games too.

Kitchen Helpers

These boys love when they get to help in the kitchen. Let me rephrase that.....they love getting to help COOK in the kitchen. They do not love the clean up afterwards! I'm not the most patient person when letting them help. I want to watch and control everything but yesterday I handed them a box and said.....follow the directions!! That was a big step for me....haha!! They did a great job making brownies and Chance even made pancakes for them to have at supper. They also helped with a couple other things and I didn't cringe too bad when my just cleaned kitchen turned into a disaster again....LOL!  It was a quick cleanup and they helped with that part too. Hopefully one day when they are on their own or married they'll be able to cook a few things at least.

Football time in Chester County

Well it's football time again in Chester County. Love getting to spend some Friday nights watching our Eagles.

Rah Rah's birthday

We celebrated Rah Rah's birthday by taking her out to eat and to a movie. She requested Chicken Salad Chick and the Christopher Robin movie.

Jr. High Homecoming Week

A week ago the Jr. High celebrated it's homecoming week. They got to have special dress up days throughout the week. They had red, white, and blue day, favorite team day, eagle pride day, and rivalry day. They also participated in a canned food drive competition for our local food bank and collected lots of food! Each grade decorated their halls and they had a homecoming parade. I don't think the 7th grade won any of the competitions but they enjoyed the week and loved having a whole week of dress down days!
