We spent 4 hours helping Papa and Clara Ruth get their back yard cleaned up. We raked so many piles of pine straw, cones, and limbs and drug it to the street. Things looked so nice when we finished. Paps paid everyone (he’s good to do that) and we enjoyed Jacks for supper. Boys said they appreciate their money so much more after working hard for it! They were very hard workers!

My Three Chefs
The boys have been wanting to cook a meal. They do smaller things like make Ramen noodles, cook pancakes, make sandwiches, fix instant oatmeal, and heat canned soups. They know enough to survive 😂. They’ve been asking and hinting at cooking supper. I figured since we’re basically stuck at home with no evening activities for a while that this might be a good time for some learning in the kitchen. They did a fabulous job with very little help from me. I talked them through some things but allowed them to do the work. We started with a pretty basic meal with it being their first full meal. The menu included Ritz Chicken, Mac and Cheese, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, garlic toast, and a chocolate trifle dessert. Chance was in charge of dessert. He had to make the pudding and put everything into layers. He also made the toast. Cooper made the mashed potatoes and homemade gravy! The mashed potatoes just required following the box directions but they need to be able to do that. The gravy was made using an online recipe. He conquered both task with ease. Cade made the chicken and the Mac and Cheese. I was very proud of them all for sticking with it to the end. I was proud of myself for not hovering too much and taking over 🤷♀️. We all loved everything and deemed it a huge success! They are looking forward to their next night of cooking.

Happy Mother’s Day
Today was an absolutely wonderful day. Being a mom is one of my greatest blessings. When I was a little girl I dreamed of growing up and becoming a mom! It’s the best job in the world to me. I have 3 amazing guys that call me mom and it’s the best and most rewarding title I can think of to be called. This morning I was greeted with breakfast and medicine/vitamins in bed 😂. We got ready and went to Pinson to help with online services. The boys did a wonderful job once again. We stopped by Papa and Clara Ruth’s to leave a Mother’s Day treat for her. They are still not getting out due to the virus. We came home and had one of my favorite foods for lunch.....chinese!! We ate outside because it was such a beautiful day. Rah Rah came over to eat with us. The boys picked her some roses from our bushes. They have been especially pretty this year. She also got some diet cokes and a gift card. After lunch we sat around and watched home videos and laughed so much. The boys were so small and funny. Watching them watch themselves was the funniest thing. I took a nap and then a Mothet’s Day run. I enjoyed the beautiful weather. We had church at the end of our street again tonight since it was so pretty. The last several Sundays the weather has kept us from being able to do that. I used my new milk frother to make me a yummy drink! Thanks guys for the protein shake mixes, diet cokes, and my frother! Exactly what I wanted 😉! All in all it was pretty much a perfect Mother’s Day complete with a perfect sunset to end the

Haircuts! Finally!
It’s been ages since the boys were able to get haircuts due to the virus! The haircut places were finally allowed to open back up this week. Boys are looking and feeling tons better after getting all the hair cut off!
Before.....look how long!
Much better!
All that hair! 😮....I kept it to put around my garden! I suppose going nearly 3 months without haircuts will be a good bonus for our garden!
Save the garden!
When it’s May and you are hit with a frost warning you must do what you have to do to save the garden!! Of course I had no buckets! I got creative and managed to cover every plant.

Dessert Pizza
Tonight I made a chocolate chip dessert pizza! It was SO good.....so good in fact that it didn’t even make it till after supper. That missing slice was snatched as supper was being cooked 😂 I made it using my sour dough starter pizza crust. I’m loving all the uses (Other than bread and cinnamon rolls) of sour dough starter! I made the best pancakes last week. Now this amazing dessert! The boys said this was a definite keeper and tasted like the dessert pizza at Snappy Tomato. I’ll take that as a compliment!

Movie Night
Thursday we had our first movie night with company since the start of the quarantine. The Deffenbaugh’s came over to watch The LEGO Movie 2. We made homemade pizzas and had ice cream sundaes. It was a fun night for everyone. We (Ashley and I) worked on a puzzle some while kids watched movie (I finished it after they left) and the kids played a lot. We all ate till we were stuffed! The pizzas were amazing! Ellery made a sign so we’d all know what was going on for the night 😂. These pictures are all out of order but you can see all the yumminess!
