A week of Halloween Fun

This week has been full of Halloween fun. Tuesday the kids had trick-or-trunk at church. Because of rain it was moved indoors. We saw lots of cool costumes and got LOTS of candy.

On Thursday night we headed out to Estes C of C for another trick-or trunk. The boys enjoyed lots of games and we all enjoyed some good snacks. One thing I like about going to Estes is that most people have some type of game to play at their car before handing out candy. The kids really like this.

here the boys are trying to guess how many cobs of corn are in a pile. If you guess it right that means more candy. Chance actually guessed the correct number which was 30...lucky guess! Cade guessed 21 which was a pretty good guess also. I think Cooper said 3 :-)

At one car you got to play Bingo! That was neat!

Friday Chance had his preschool Halloween party. They had a good time. They did some halloween crafts including decorating 3-d pumpkin cookies, making hand print spiders, making spider lollipops, and thumb print pumpkin patches. They also ate lots of cool Halloween treats and of course got more Halloween candy.

Tonight we finished up our week of Halloween fun by visiting a few houses that we visit every year. We never do much on the actual night of Halloween because the boys have done so much during the week with trick-or-trunks and parties, etc. We always enjoy visiting our select few houses and calling it quits for the year. Thanks for the goodies everyone and Happy Halloween!

Our last stop...Rah Rah's house. This is where the boys dump everything out and start enjoying their bag full of goodies.

I Love Fall Time Pictures!

Every year since Cade was born I have taken the boys over to the same house at this time of year to take pictures. Most years I have the boys dressed in Halloween shirts but this year I decided to just do Fall pictures. The Browns love for their yard to be used for pictures. They go all out with the decorations for EVERY holiday. I always love the bright fall colors everywhere. This afternoon we stopped by on our way to worship and took some pictures. Here are a few of them.

Very rarely do we get a family photo. One of Cade's baseball coaches lives across the street and walked over while we were there and asked if he could get a family shot. How nice!

Harvest Festival

Friday night was Harvest Festival at Cade's school. The boys had a good time playing games, jumping in the party jumpers, eating pizza, and going on a hay ride. I helped out with Kindergartens booth (Extreme Makeover)for an hour or so and got to meet and talk to several students and parents. It was a good night. Cade did the cake walk 1 time and won a cake! That was exciting!

Chad worked the "pie in the face" booth for a little while. What a good sport!

Finally!

Once again I have been trying to upload pictures to my blog for days now with no luck. The couple times I have gotten a picture to go through the coloring was wrong and the whole picture wouldn't show up. I have ni idea what is going on. I think it has something to do with my internet browswer on the Mac. Anyway I finally e-mailed a picture to Chad's laptop that has Internet Explorer on it and immediately a picture uploaded. I guess until things start working right on my MacI'll use Chad's laptop.

We had a busy week this past week. On Thursday we had Cade's first parent-teacher conference. It went great! After meeting with his teacher the boys and I headed on to Savannah to see my sister Amanda and then to see Papa and Clara Ruth. We don't get to go visit as much as we would like but when we do make it over there the boys have a great time. The boys threw rocks in the creek, rode the 4-wheeler, played cards, basketball, etc. Becuase of my uploading issues I'm just going to put this one picture on. I thought it was a great picture down by the creek.

Cooper's First Haircut!

Today my baby got his first haircut! Actually all 3 boys got haircuts but it was Cooper's first so that was a big deal! He looks so much older now with his short cut!

Before picture..Cooper showed no emotion the whole time he was in the chair.

He was so still for Mrs. Shannon

Look at that big boy haircut!

A cold day for baseball

Yesterday we woke up to a very chilly day...in the 40,s. We had to be in Jackson to play baseball at 9:30. Wow..it was so cold and windy which made it worse. Chance and Cooper were both pretty miserable during the first game. I took blankets and jackets and we tried to stay bundled up the best we could. It was not quite as bad for the second game at 2:30 but it was still cold! We did enjoy lunch at Cracker Barrell (it's been forever since I've eaten there) with some of our friends and teammates. They had a nice fire blazing which felt so good. I enjoyed watching the boys play but definitely prefer playing baseball in warmer weather.

Trying to stay warm.
Cade looking funny in his toboggan. The cold didn't seem to affect him quite as much as it did me and the other 2 boys. His hands were very red at the end of that first game though..and he said they hurt!
